On May 27, the First International Agricultural Forum opened in Nan Province, Thailand. Under the theme of "New Regional Development for Biodiversity and Agricultural Sustainability", Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn attended and officiated at the opening ceremony of the Forum. In her opening speech, Princess Sirindhorn said that international development cooperation for sustainable development, with Nan Province as a pilot project, is a good thing to be praised and rejoiced about, which in turn will benefit the people of Nan Province, the people of Thailand and the whole of mankind.
Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Han Zhiqiang, Co-Chairman of the Forum's Organizing Committee Wu Wantong, and Chief Scientist of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Bangkok Innovation Cooperation Center Jiang Biao addressed the event. More than 600 government and private representatives from 10 countries and regions, including Thailand and China, traveled to Nan Province to participate in this event.
Ms. Guo Yitong, the Group's Overseas President, attended the forum as a representative of Chinese enterprises.
At the forum, Ms. Guo shared with the national representatives the latest information about the Group's scientific research progress, main products, development history, international and domestic qualifications and honors, and so on.
